Within the Lake District National Park, Wydon Farm is located just off the A66, by the village of Penruddock, almost midway between Penrith and Keswick. Cumbria CA11 0RX

Wydon is marvellously accessible for visitors (5 miles M6) and has convenient and speedy access to all parts of the North Lakes, The Eden Valley, Carlisle, Hadrian's Wall etc. Only 4 miles to to Ullswater and 11 to Keswick, Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite (for the ospreys). A peaceful oasis of natural beauty and wildlife but only half a mile to the village of Penruddock and the renowned "Herdwick inn" or going the other way the "Sportsman" both reached on country lanes without using the A66.

A convenient location for walkers, it is fabulous for cyclists - The C2C route almost passes the door and there are almost endless permutations for rides in the wilderness known as 'Back o' Skiddaw'. These commons, grasslands, fells and mountains are well off the 'day tripper trail' and offer marvellous excursions for all levels of ability. Wydon has on-site cycle storage facilities.

At Junction 40 (Penrith) take the A66 West towards Keswick. Continue on this route at the "Rheged" roundabout. After approximately 5 miles the dual carriage way ends as you enter the National Park (note but ignore any turnings to "Greystoke" on this stretch). Shortly after, ignore the turning on your right sign posted to "Penruddock" and carry on to the next right turning Sign posted "B5288 Greystoke" (You can catch a glimpse of the farm on your right). Turn right off the A66 here and turn immediately right again into Wydon Farm.

Take the A66 East towards Penrith and M6. Look out for (but ignore) the turning on your left for "Whitbarrow Park" you might also see the "Sportsman" pub on the hill to your left. Take the next turning left sign posted "B5288 Greystoke" and turn immediately right into Wydon Farm.
